Do you know what this alternative out-of-home care is?

It is a measure to ensure that babies, children and adolescents who have been separated from their families of origin (by order of the Childhood and Youth Court) can live in an environment that favors their full development and well-being.

Family foster care is a protective, exceptional and temporary alternative, focused on ensuring the right to live in a family.

The foster family does not replace the family of origin and the child's direct and regular relationship with their family of origin is part of their rights.

Requirements to become a foster family? - To be over 25 years old; - Not have your own name or that of your spouse on the national adoption database; - Not have a criminal record, psychiatric impairment or addiction to alcohol or psychoactive substances.

Families of all kinds or individuals, without discrimination of any kind, can be Foster Families. The most important thing is to have the commitment and motivation to change the life trajectory of a baby, child or teenager!

Make a difference today! Become a Foster Family!
